The NFCA (National Fastpitch Coaches Association) announced its 207 NFCA Junior College Division III All-American team Tuesday and two Corning Community College players were honored. Sixteen players were chosen from seven different institutions of the NFCA's three Regions (North, Midwest and East).
At the five infield spots selected, Corning's Haley Williamson was the lone repeat All-American selection after batting .523 with 40 runs, 56 hits and 17 doubles.
Samantha Mennig is the choice for the utility spot on the team after collecting 46 RBI's, batting .521 with 54 runs, 61 hits, 19 doubles and 10 homers.
After leading the Red Barons to a 26-8 record and a spot in the Regional Finals, Mennig and Williamson shared MSAC Conference Player of the Year honors and were both named to the NJCAA Region III First team.
