DiNicola Named NJCAA Player Of The Week

Michelle DiNicola was named the Region III DIII Softball Player of the Year as voted on by the coaches. She hit over .500 with 17 HR's and 80 RBI's on the season, breaking both school records in the process.

Michele DiNicola has been named the national player of the week in the NJCAA for her last week of games. Michele, a freshman outfielder for the Red Barons, went 18-28 with 4 doubles, 5 HRs, and 15 runs scored. Her season totals are 55-106, 9 doubles, 3 triples, and 16 HRs with 71 RBI's. She has already broken the single season HR record and RBI record for Corning and was named NJCAA Region 3 player of the week, last week.

For the week, Corning went 5-3 with sweeps of Genesee and TC3, a split with Monroe, and a two game loss to Herkimer.

The Red Barons sit at 22-10 currently with one doubleheader left against Onondaga CC before regional play.
