Sophomore Centerfielder Michele DiNicola added to her decorated SUNY CCC Softball career by repeating as Region III Division III Player of the Year and she was a 1st team outfield selection. Michele is the first player for Head Coach Stacy Johnson to ever achieve back to back Player of the Year selections in the region. Miss DiNicola ended her season in the Region III Division III Championship with a .520 average, collecting 78 hits with 18 doubles, 3 triples, 17 homeruns, 63 RBIs, 63 runs scored, and a 1.020 slugging percentage. She led her team in hits, doubles, homeruns, RBIs, and slugging percentage this season.
Sophomore Shortstop Leigha Jones was elected 1st team All-Region due to her outstanding season. Her batting statistics were very impressive as she posted a .418 average, collecting 66 hits with 15 doubles, 4 triples, 4 homeruns, 55 RBIs, and 48 runs scored. Leigha's defense at short this year set her apart in the region as her range and ability to make tough plays while showing off a very strong arm helped the Red Barons to another appearance in the Region III Division III Championship Series.
Freshman catcher Hailey Burdick was also selected to the 1st team, her numbers were impressive offensively as she had a .330 average with 13 doubles, 1 triple, 7 homeruns, and 40 RBIs while being a steady force behind the plate for the Red Baron pitchers and displaying a strong arm limiting the running game for opposing teams.
Freshman Jessica Vidal-DeJesus who played 3rd base this year was voted onto the 2nd team All-Region III. She averaged .482 at the dish with 55 hits, 15 doubles, 4 triples, 10 homeruns, 54 RBIs, and a .971 slugging percentage. Jessica's most memorable performance came in the Region III Division III Championship Game #2 against Onondaga CC as she went 3-4 in the game with 3 homeruns.
