The Corning women had their best offensive output to date and beat the visiting Generals from Herkimer 89-58 on Saturday. Corning outscored their opponent in all four quarters. The Red Barons shot 69% from the floor and 50% from behind the 3-point line on the day. Kiara Buxton was a force and scored 23 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Three other Corning players reached the double-digit mark including Taylor Sutryk with 13 points Hannah Zenelovic with 13 points and Emily Smith with 11 points. Mackenzie Warner added a team-high 10 assists. Corning hosts Mohawk Valley CC on Sunday for a noon tip-off.
