Warner Sets Record, Named All-Conference With Buxton

The Corning CC women's basketball team finished the season falling just one game short of the Mid-state and Regional play-offs. The Red Barons followed up a win of nationally ranked Finger Lakes CC, with a total team win over Broome. Mackenzie Warner set the school record with 17 assists in the game as the team cruised to a 70-26 victory.

The team traveled to Jefferson CC with a win and your in scenario for both teams. The Red Barons held a 44-41 lead after 3 quarters of play but could not hold on in the 4th quarter after a frantic 8 minutes from both squads. Taylor Sutryk and Kiara Buxton scored 24 and 22 points respectably while Mackenzie Warner handed out 13 assists in her final performance as a Red Baron.

Mackenzie Warner and Kiara Buxton were both named all conference by the Mid-State Athletic Conference coaches, the Red Barons ended their season at 10-13 overall.
