Corning Finishes 2-1 At Jamestown POD

The volleyball team traveled to Jamestown this past weekend where they faced Jamestown CC, Erie CC, and Niagara CCC. After a tough loss in their first match against Jamestown (16-25, 10-25, 8-25), Corning defeated Niagara (25-23, 25-20, 25-25) and Erie (25-16, 25-22, 22-25, 25-18).

The Red Barons improve to an 8-6 regional record after the weekend. Offensively, Katelyn Artibee again led the way for Corning with 25 kills and 4 aces. Teammates, Alecia McKillip added 13 kills of her own while Autumn Edwards went for 12 kills. Defensively, Megan Gridley dug up 58 balls, while McKillip added 16 digs. Setters Sierra Barolis and Danielle Dille combined for 63 assists on the day.

Corning travels to Onondaga Community College this Wednesday for their MSAC conference match up. Game time is 6pm.
