Emily Andress (Scudder) ’08 has been a member of the Red Baron family since her playing days in 2006-2008 when she suited up for both the volleyball and softball teams. After graduating from SUNY Cortland in 2010, Andress returned to CCC as a member of the Fitness Center staff. She immediately joined the coaching ranks, serving as an assistant coach to the softball (2011-2013) and volleyball (2011-2012) teams before being hired as Head Coach of the Red Barons volleyball program at the beginning of the 2013 season.
In her first five seasons, Andress has led the Red Barons to a 96-54 record and has coached 11 MSAC All-Conference selections, eight Region III All-Region selections, one MSAC Player of the Year, and one NJCAA All-American. She was named MSAC Coach of the Year in her first season and again in 2015 when she led the Red Barons to an MSAC Championship and garnered herself Region III Coach of the Year honors.
Andress is a 2006 graduate of Corning West High School and 2017 inductee of the Corning-Painted Post Sports Hall of Fame. As a Red Baron student-athlete, she was selected to both the All-Conference and All-Region volleyball teams in the 2007 season. She currently serves as Coordinator of Fitness Center and Intramural & Recreation at CCC and resides in Corning with her husband, Kyle.
